Laseroptronix sub sea LED lamps have a very larg field of view. The illimunation commes from a cluster of high intensitry LED chips mounted on a ceramic substrate. Green light is by far the best to penetrate water as absorption in water is very high in most other vawelength bands. The LED design admitts up to 100 000 kours of life time and is very robust.
Sub Sea Clusterlamp SSCL 540 is a LED lamp system operating at 12 volt DC. Output power is monochrome in green light. This is not absorbed in water as much as red and IR color. The output power is 80 mW at about 540 nm in optical output. This gives good brightness for cameras compared to Halogen lamps whih generated a lot of IR and heat.

This is a very good alternative for ROV and sub sea installations where life time and resistance to vibrations is a key matter. There are ni filaments in the LED and then they can not get broken like an ordinary lamp system.

Diameter is 50 mm and length is less 60 mm. Lamp is coated with fused nylon
