Contrast enhancement un it is a black box unit added on the camera signal cable. It operates on most common standard formats of video .Inside the black box there is a highly advanced circuit ( ASIC) made just to analyze signal and improve it. Analyze method looks for weak colors and hidden contrasts in the signal. This is processed and improved in a way matching eye and brain handling of images in a highly advanced way. Out comes a new real time video with a far better image quality than before processing. The improvement is very large. Old dark murky videos appears with a far better quality than before and operator can see what could not be viewed earlier. One limitation is that it needs a color signal to be really good. BW images can be better but not so much as color video streams.

This unit can be used direct on the cable in real time operation. It can also be used to process old video recordings to get better. All what is stored on VHS tape etc. can be upgraded up to a far better quality than ever.

The unit is fully automatic and do normally need no settings and calibrations to work. It can however be controlled in special ways if wanted.
