Active goggles system with IR illumination and LCD screen
Active goggles systems are based on a low level camera system with excellent performance at low levels of light. They send the signal to 2 pcs of high resolution LCD screens for viewing. Active illumination with high intensity IR led are posisble to activate when needed.

Function is like any normal goggle system but these works in total darkness as thgey generate its own light when needed. Range is 25-50 meter in 100% darkness.

The LCD screens have high resolution and brightness can be adjusted. This makes it possible to get a constant level of illumination independant of ambient light.

There is a connection for external cameras and PC systems by PAL and VGA inputs
Active goggles do the job of ordinary goggles but with better performance. A problem in some applications is that the active LED system is detectable by anyone having goggles and this limits applications a bit.

The active system works from daylight to 100% darkness and this can never be done with any other image intensified system. This is a very large advantage over traditional systems which are very limited in the case of some bright areas in the field of view. You can still see in dark corners behind the illuminated objcts which is impossible with intensifier tubes.

The posibility to keep a constant light level independant of ambient light makes this system useble for persons with problems with the eyes. Some problems related that the viewing in darkness is disturbed can compensate this by thge active goggles.

  • People with eye problems needing a constant ambient light level in strong or weak ambient light.
  • Computer screens for games etc over the VGA input
  • TV goggles when using the PAL input
