We have just started up designing of new products for IR illumination applications. This is high power IR LED lamps witgh las ong life times as 100 K hours andvery bright light. This is based on new high intensity LED lamps with 5 mm diameyer where we use arrays for high power and good illumination angles.
Showed IR lamp gives over 25 meter range in total darkness with a good sensitivity CCD IR sensitive camera. This is a lamp priced at onoy Euro 110 complete with 12 volt Input.
We have just got a single chip with an array of LED illuminators. The total output is a brutal 1,6 W at 870 nm in near IR area. This is a 100 k hours device suitable in combination wityh many IR sensitive CCD cameras. Now we put this in different encapsulations like sub sea and standard lamp encapsulations. We use 1 or more to what is needed for the application. We can also add beam shaping optics.
For many security applications where cameras are used in combination with a lamp we feel this is a optimal design. We can illuminate areas up to 1000 square meters with a few lamps only. This needs some tenths of watts compared to 100-1000 W needed today with normal lamps. Here we need a few % of energy to do the job. We can operate lamps with no maintenance for 5-10 years . This saves a lot of costs in lamp replacement jobs.
Laseroptronix offers and designs a combination of the LED illuminator in combination withn suitalble camera solution. We can also include a solution for intruder detection based on real 3D analyze of the image based on laser radar which makes this ideal for qualified ojects like airports, parked aircrafts, military areas and governement buildings and areas.
