Solution 2
Laserace 300 mounted on mono pod mount with encoders. This increase accuracy a bit and 3D accuracy per point can be in the 10 cm area. This is better than needed in almost all applications but the system can have a dual use as a total station for other engineers at the site.. Here they have a good reflector less total station at the same time

This system scans the complete pile automatically and calculates the volume. This can be done with a fixed mounded system or a portable unit. The Silo ladar is mounted in the top of the silo doing the same job. |

Automatic total station calculating the volume and shape . This is done automatically and fast .This solution is attractive when the pile shall be regulated by volume and shape. Accuracy for each point is within a few cm making total errors far less 1% in volume of the complete pile in most cases. Max range can be up to 1000 m

Solution 4
Silo ladar system is extremely rugged and designed for mining in massive stainless steel. This system do the same as the total station and is mounted on the top of the silo or pile looking down. This is a very accurate system capable of a few cm in accuracy up to 300 m in distance
