LSD 400/1000 Laser radar unit for OEM use and system integration
LSD 400/1000 is a very rugged OEM Laser radar unit for system integrators. The device measures from 1 meter to 400 meter with a speed of 1000 of 3D points per sec. The scanner speed is 1-20 profiles per sec where the 1000 distance values are spread out in a sinusoidal pattern. The general design is made to fulfill airborne specifications and demands.

One good application is to install it on airborne antennas for mineral search. Here it can see the topography that is measured by the antennas and magnetometers. The system on the photo i used behind an aircraft. THis is a very demanding application this system can handle

Output is an RS 232 cable where the 1000 distance values per sec are pumped out. The beam pointing angle is available from a pulse counter with a 16 bit parallel binary output. This is a special encoder with very high speed in output to avoid beam pointing errors.

The distance meter have a 905 nm IR laser and have first pulse characteristics. Beam diameter is 25 cm at 100 meter in distance.
