Laser radar systems working by laser triangulation / laser profile scanner

Triangulation based systems have a laser making a line or light plane. This is viewed by a camera and the camera is tilted to the line. When line hits a target inside the viewed area the reflex angle is calculated to a distance. By nature the camera gives a line / profile over the illuminated target area.

If larger areas needs to be viewed we need to move the system Some line pass over the area. If so we must have a controlled motion so we can generate a complete 3D view of the area.

One other model is the same but here we move the laser line by a high speed servo system. Here we need no motion to get a complete image in 3D.
Woodprofiler is a medium range very high speed laser profiler useable when there is a long product that pass through the laser zone. It gives over 1000 complete profiles per sec each having over 1500 individual points. This is 1,5 mega voxels per sec. When zones are less 1 meter the accuracy can be a few tenths of a mm.
LaserDolphin is a 3D sub sea laser radar system. We have a heavy duty laser scanner inside a very rugged casing capable of 300 meters depth. We can measure from 0.5-25 meter if water quality is good enough. Limit is about 50 % longer than the visible Sechi depth definition.. Extra photos
