System can operate in passive mode with no laser and is then like an ordinary night vision system.

When the laser is activated it is independent of any external light and can work in 100% darkness.

Distance knob tells what range the system shall look at. This replace a range finder in some applications.

Depth tell what depth we shall look at the spec set range. This is 25 m or more. This makes it possible to see in very narrow zones far away .

The laser is eye safe in laser class 1 and works at 830 nm in the infrared. Average output power is 400 mW. Pulses are 60 nano-sec in length.

Field of view of camera optics and lasers are 7,5 degree and this admits an operating distance of 300-400 meter in absolute darkness.

Laser is laser safety class 1 at over 4 meter in distance.
The eye piece is a large monocular where booth eyes can see same image. There is one single generation 2 image intensifier inside the night vision device.

Left the eye piece there is a video camera battery for power. There is also a poser supply cable adapter for continues operation as the battery do only operate for 15 minutes.

Control buttons are at left side and operated with left hand thumb.

The casing is made out of solid aluminum and water resistant.

Camera optics have a Pentax M 42 thread and can be changed easily.
