| MiniLynx gated laser monocular system This system is designed for portable operation in applications like SAR ( Search and rescue) on the sea and from the air. It is also very practical for police and military related applications where it gives viewing capabilities far better than any other goggles or hand held night vision device. The active gated laser cameras are the only intensified system capable of operating in twilight when other intensified systems are over saturated. Laser flashes admits strobing the light and a good penetration of particles in the air. All these and more facts makes this the ultimate solution for qualified SAR and night vision applications.
The gating makes it possible to strobe light in the flight at desired positions. Areas at a specific distance can be illuminated while other areas are not illuminated and dark. Then we know the distance to viewed areas like a range finder. We can also illuminate back grounds and see the target like a black shadow on a white surface. This profile viewing is sometimes very efficient when objects shall be detected in areas with many irrelevant objects. Gating makes it possible to see through particles to about 4-5 times the range of eyes or other vision systems. The areas closer to the analyzed area can be put in darkness so particles in the air becomes in shadow. This gives a far better capability to see through difficult areas where normal systems do only see the particles in the air close to viewer. Monochromatic viewing is possible as the laser only have one color. The operation wavelength is 830 nm and here the chlorophyl factor becomes critical. Green painted objects appears darker than green vegetation. This gives enhazed capabilities to see people inside vegetation and to see painted objects like mines in nature. Features
