Target area on a marina in Sweden in wither time. Images done by SeaLynx system and recorded on a VHS tape which is copied into a MAC by Dazzle system. There are some minor effects of the copies and real screens are a bit better. Images here are also smaller and loose resolution because of this.

Summary is that the man is no problems to see 200 meter away which is the most far distance in viewing tests.

Some images are showed enlarged and in positive and negative image view to see what the camera really can do and see . Image 1 show area at daytime. Image 2 shows same place in night vision with IR lamps turned on. Image 3 shows the area in passive nivis mode. Here the weak lamps on left set down sensitivity a lot and far areas are in darkness. THis is very common in most security applications as none are totally dark.
Man 200 meter away and he carry a camera where the optics gives a cat eye reflex. The cat eye reflex is always strong and goggles carried by an opposite man is easily viewed at 500 meter in distance.
Same plane and same man but we have arranged a white background so the intruder appears black to a white background. This setting is easily done by the controller so operator can sweep over the area and scan and search for best mode of operation.

This is 200 meter away and any normal camera or nivis camera will not see this man at all. Thermal camera can see the man but if he want to be undetected he can carry suitable cloths and then the thermal camera is blind for him. 3D volumes are hard to hide
