Laseroptronix is happy to offer the Gyroview binocular systems which are very attractive for applications like inspection of high voltage electrical wires from the air. Airborne checking has become an international standard for inspection since many years. This is one of the leading helicopter applications.

Inspection is a dangerous work as the helicopter needs to fly close to the wires and there have been many accidents when the helicopter has cached the wires. The Gyroview binoculars admits a longer distance to wires and typically we can give a better image at 2-3 times the distance compared to what is possible with traditional binoculars. This reduce stress for pilot and observer and reduces the risk for collision a lot.

Gyroview 1 is used by police in Sweden for reading license plates on cars when checking speed. This system is good for general viewing and search and rescue applications from air.

Gyroview 2 is used by marine aviation in Sweden to look for smugglers and incidents on the sea.

Gyroview 3 is the new and future model and have a better image and larger magnification. This is the best alternative for electrical wire inspection.

Options.

We can offer a video camera seeing through the optics and this can be used for documentation of results. The camera is stabilized through the binocular optics.

GPS position which can be separate but also written on the video tape from the video camera. This gives the location of the event recorded. Clock is also displayed at video image.

Distancemeter and inclinometers for defining the position of the image in global coordinates.

Night Vision adapter for use when system shall be used in dark environment. This is mostly for ambulance and SAR ( search and rescue ) applications.

LineMapper is the solution for video recording of electrical power lines from the air. This system gives position defined video recordings suitable for service and logistics. We can measure the position of objects at an accuracy to less 1 meter in may applications. This works fine in combination with the Gyro view binocular systems when inspecting electrical high voltage power lines.
