LineMapper the position defined video recording system for power line inspection
Hughes 500 Helicopter with the Line Mapper gimbal under its nose. This system is not stabilized in normal conditions as this is not a need. For specific uses we have stabilized gimbals.
LineMapper on an other Hughes 500. In booth these cases we used the Paravion air approved mounting system.

The main onboard PC computer is in the back seat of this helicopter

This is expensive but very flexible and nice to operate.
The Roadmapper systems are similar but create a complete 3D terrain model of what is checked.

This gives more information and knowledge about what is needed.

For most electrical applications the Linemapper system is good enough. When there are specific 3D demands these solutions are selected.
RoadMapper system under a Jet Ranger Augusta Bell 206 . Here we used a hook mount for the system.

RoadMapper is far larger than the LineChecker and needs a larger mount than the Paravion mount.
