The system is very robust and rugged and sealed to IP 62 level . ( Water proof ). The casing is machined out of a solid piece of aluminum and anodized. Under the bottom there is two mounting threads. This makes the installation simple in the aircraft.

This system is also a part of a laser scanner in some of our products like the GeoMapper and LineMapper solution. Here we have the chance to scan the terrain for measuring the profile of height under the aircraft. This admits new ways for height control and altimetry.
