    • ALTM 500 is a laser distance meter optimized for altitude measurements from airborne platforms like helicopters and airplanes working at low altitude. The system is very rigged and still light weighted and can easily be adapted into small spaced areas inside the fuselage.

    The system can measure through normal rain and snow and is very reliable with a design criteria of over 10 000 hours maintenance free operation.

    This system is extra useful when the airborne platform are involved in a measurement application like airborne photography. Then it is possible to sample the accurate and correct height over the terrain . This information can be used for correcting the scale factor of photos or calibration of the system.

    The ALTM 500 is integrated into the Geo Mapper system where it calibrates scale factors and add more information to samples data. If this system is not good enough we can offer the ALTM 500 system with better characteristics.
    ALTM laser altimeters are very good for profile measuring of the terrain to have an accurate control of height. This is a must for many photographic applications where the distance meter gives the height and the optics in the camera the scale of the image. This makes it possible to have a scale on each image and to measure correctly.
