Basalt material is made from volcanic stones ( basalt ) and is a chemically very stable and an inert material. The melted material is used to make filaments only a few thousands of a mm in thickness. These filaments are very flexible and pleasant for the human skin and is the raw material for special products. Textiles can easily be made and they have very unique characteristics. Filaments can be used to make ropes and hoses for water Special made products can be used to reinforce cement and replacing iron products which are heavy and have corrosion problems
Basalt is a very attractive material for many applications. Historically this is an old product used for very special applications since many years in the military. Now we have the unique chance to introduce this product for new applications and other areas of applications. Basalt is 50-100% stronger than steel and stronger than glass fiber. This makes this as an ideal replacement for glass fibers. The final product can be better , cheaper and lower weighted. The UV light resistance in combination with the 100% resistance to fires makes this as an interesting textile for house building and public buildings.

  • Fire curtains for protection against fires. Here there is a classification approval for 60 minutes fire resistance and that the product can not burn at all

  • Production of ropes and hoses needing to resist fires ( fire brigades )
  • Reinforcement carpets for concrete designs and cement structures
  • Production of tubes for industry with extreme needs to resist chemical acids and high temperatures in combination with high pressures
  • Totally fire resistant and pleasant to make textile from
  • Racing cloths and fire brigade clots and some special industrial clothing's.
  • Realistic price level

Basalt has been in production since many years but not been available for larger areas. This has uniquely been a space and military special product not available for any else than special customers. Our intention is to introduce this material for all applications and customers.
