Laseroptronix are happy to offer the LHP1 laser distancemeter designed to measure height of objects and horizontal distances corrected by an integrated inclinometer.

LHP1 is designed specially for height control of trees and optimized to be carried around in the forest for long times. It is small and robust and operates for a long time on the built in batteries. It can be used for any object where the height shall be checked.

The accuracy is depending on the operators skill and the system is very easy to operate after 5 minutes of testing. Normally an operator can get an accuracy of +- 0,5 meter on most trees.

The inclinometer makes it possible to measure the hiorisontal distance when the system is pointed non horizontally. The inclinometer measures the angle and the built in microprocessor calculates a corrected horizontal distance.

The aiming is done by a redpoint sight and is very easy to use.
How to measure the height of a tree.

Point at the tree in approximately horizontal angle and press the button until beep.

Then point at the top of the tree and press button until it beeps. This is the measurement of the angle up to the top.
Point at the root of the tree and press the button until it beeps. This is the angle down to the root of the tree.

Then the built in microprocessor calculated the height from the two angles and the distance to the tree. Accuracy is about +- 0,5 m . This pine was 11,7 m in height.
