Nivis color camera for low light levels

Nivis color cameras for low light levels and color video. This is a CCD camera with a high sensitivity CCD array. Special video electronics reduce noise from the array. DSP signal processor analyze the video stream in real time. This is processed to get an increased sensitivity and image quality.

Video quality is dramatically improved and color balance and noise is excellent compared to other cameras with the same type of CCD array.

Camera will give a good color video down to quarter to half moon ambient level of light. If a human look with eyes and at a screen of same area the area appearing almost black suddenly get bright colors like in day light.

Long range applications with large zoom optics needs higher sensitivity than other applications. F-number of optics eats sensitivity. Here there is finally a useable camera which can operate with optics up to 1.5-2 meters focal length and still see 10-20 Km in low light levels

Cameras have 1/2 inch CCD arrays and 480 KPix. C-Mount is standard. Options are gas filled water proof encapsulations.This is the camera normally used in the DuoCam camera system.

Price is typical Euro 2000 for a color camera.

Same camera is also available in black and white. Then it is even more sensitive and comparable with Generation 2 intensified cameras.Price uis about 2000 Euro.This camera operates to 1 micron in the infrared area.
