| Tests in Sweden where we detected and classified some smallern objects at aboit 100 meter in distance. Ojects are between 10 and 40 mm and we could detect them and measure main parameters of what was there. Image quality in a 3D image was good enough to see if this was a threat or not for the landing aircrafts.
This system workls by the change detection methode. Here we scann and memmorizethe area of interest. This is memmorized like a 3D high accuracy map. After this we scann all time lookimng for differences in shape. Whene there is some FOD at surface we sense the 3D difference in shape and the com,puter make an alarm if somethingis there. The global coordinate is measured with an accuracy of between 5 mm and 2-3 cm. The shape and profile of the FODis also measured with a sub cm accuracy even at ranges of 100-300 meter. |
